Combining archival photographs with documented narrative, Mr. Hibbard provides a window into Platteville's 175 year past and its significant role in the development of Southwest Wisconsin. No registration needed. Here's a testimonial from our own Dan at the Reference Desk: For someone who spends most of his time in the basement of the Southwest Room with university archives and old manuscripts, Mr. Hibbard is funnier than you might think.

Our henna programs involve you doodling on your skin with a plant-based paste, leaving your skin dyed with a rich, brown design. No matter what you draw, it always looks good (and if it doesn't, the designs fade in about 1-2 weeks anyway). Call us at 348-7441 ext 4 to sign up. For ages 18+ (teen henna will be held in the afternoon)

Game Night: Bunco
August 24, 6:00 - 7:30 pm
We had a good time playing Kubb in July, but that game required the ability to both throw and aim. In August, we're learning how to play Bunco - a game that only requires the ability to toss dice (and maybe a tiny bit of adding). Call us at 348-7441 ext 4 to sign up. For ages 12 - adult.

What could be better than sitting out in the sun with a book (besides sitting next to a fireplace with a book...or out in the fall leaves with a book...or listening to spring birds with a book...)? Here are some of the books and shows we've been enjoying this summer...but you don't have to take our word for it!
- Miss Fisher and ANZAC Girls. Who knew Australia produced such quality television? It's a good thing too, since I've run out of BBC stuff to watch. -Lydia
- I think one of the best newer DVDs we have gotten would be Selma. Historic, suspenseful, and filled with excellent acting. -Erin
- Bird Box was one scary book!! -Leanne
- Day Shift by Charlaine Harris is a fun read, second in a series after Midnight Crossroad. Look for characters you know from her Sookie Stackhouse books to show up in this small Texas town of interesting people. -Nancy
- If you need 100 pep talks, read Kid President's Guide to Being Awesome. This book will inspire you and make you want to love people. This book is for everybody. -Karina
- If your summer is in need of a crassly hilarious and very weird book about teen boys and giant bugs who are only interested in eating and mating, try Grasshopper Jungle. This book is most definitely not for everybody! -Karina
