Help Us Complete Our Wall of Roses

15th-25th September

The Deloitte Spring Rose Art Exhibition is coming soon and we are once-again inviting CFWA members to have their work displayed alongside nationally renowned artists by painting a rose on a canvas we provide.

Both children and adults are welcome to take part. If you’d like to contribute, please contact Shelley via email or 08 9346 7339.

Recipe Submissions for CFfood

As part of the CFfood program CFWA is developing, we are including a member-based recipe book. We would love members to submit their favourite CF recipe. This could be a main meal, snack, drink, dessert etc.

If you have tips on how to keep the meal lower in fat for the rest of the family please also include these at the bottom of the recipe. E.g. Serve up the soup and then add a dollop of cream into the person with CFs bowl.

Please email recipes and photos to Gillian using the form that can be downloaded here.

Swan River Run Thank You

Many thanks goes to the participants in the Swan River Run for CF last weekend. The small team of resilient runners raised an amazing $4,073.64!. Thanks so much for time, sweat and the funds that you raised!

Kim Metcalf took part, having run very little previously. Amazingly Kim committed himself to the 14km run. Not only did he complete the 14km run he raised an incredible $2,185.75!

“I went from someone who couldn’t run 2km ten weeks ago to someone who completed a solid 14km in just over 90 minutes. Even though I was beaten by a guy running in army fatigues carrying his full backpack, and a girl carrying the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, I was satisfied with getting to the finish line!”

Merchandise Kits

If you would like to place a merchandise kit in your office or business please let us know. The individual items sell for $5 each and this year the kits feature hand sanitizer, mints and ear buds.

To organise a kit please contact Shelley at events@cysticfibrosiswa.org or 9346 7333.

Mandurah Coffee Morning

Thank you to everyone who attended the Mandurah coffee morning. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some newer members.

The next coffee morning will be on the 25th September at Dome Cafe Scarborough. To RSVP please contact Gillian via email or on 9346 7338.

Chocolates in Stock

The Cadbury fundraising chocolates are back in stock! Most people like to have a sweet treat every now and then, so why not put that tooth to good use and place some chocolates in your workplace, gym or club.

The team at Georgiou recently raised a very nice $1,150.00 by placing chocolates in their office, so give it a go and drop into the office to pick up a box today!
