FEARLESS CAREGIVER CONFERENCE RECAP

On July 30th, 2015 Today’s Caregiver magazine and caregiver.com in partnership with the Palm Beach-Treasure Coast Area Agency on Aging / Your Aging Resource Center, hosted the 2015 Boca Raton Fearless Caregiver Conference. This was the 154th conference held around the nation by the publication since 1998. It was also in the midst of the 20th anniversary Fearless Caregiver Conference tour. More than 65,000 family and professional caregivers in 28 states have learned how to be Fearless Caregiver advocates for their loved ones, clients and themselves.
The event opened with a heartfelt welcome by Trish Ernst, family caregiver and Director of Communications at the Area Agency on Aging / Your Aging & Disability Resource Center. The expert Question and Answer panel fielded a wide variety of interesting questions from the family caregivers in attendance. The panel consisted of Kim Clawson, Helpline Director, Your Aging Resource Center (ADRC), Area Agency on Aging of Palm Beach/Treasure Coast; Cheryl D’Ambrosio, RN, Nurse Liaison, Humana; Mickie Oliva, Outreach Representative, CapTel and Kevin Blakeney, Senior Vice President of American Advisors Group (AAG). ...more |
