Are you coming? Still thinking about it?

We need you!

So what do you do now? Where do you start?

Click Here to check out the next steps for planning your trip to Taiwan this Christmas. Planning a Trip

We need you and here's why.

Yesterday, I met with Dr. Paul to firm up our plans for this first ever Christmas in Taiwan Winter Camp. As we were talking, he kept getting more and more excited and then he said, you know, I don't want to be selfish. Would you mind if I contacted the other Universities in town and got your group the opportunity to share with their students also?

WHAT???

Well, all I can say is, God never ceases to surprise me here.

If you are still on the fence about coming, please get off the fence and start planning! We need your help! That beautiful stamp in the picture above could be in your passport this Christmas.

We want to see you in Taiwan,

Todd & Crista

Praying Specifically & Fervently

Please Pray for these needs

There are two university groups that are about to begin enlisting students to come help us in the next few months. Would you please pray that the Holy Spirit would move and call students to come and help us here in Taiwan! The two universities are WTAMU in Canyon and Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. They will be bringing groups in early December and January respectively. Like Jesus said, the field is ready for harvest, pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send workers into the field!

Crista will begin her series of presentations to Fulbright scholars next Monday. She will be traveling around Taiwan to give five presentations. Two of them involve flying and the rest she must travel by train. I'll be able to go with her for the farthest and most difficult to navigate. So please pray for her safety, confidence and ability to do her job well. We also expect God will use this to open even more doors for ministry down the road.

Speaking of Crista, we have a new partner! JD Thompson, from the Texas Panhandle, just moved over a couple of weeks ago to work with Crista teaching for Dr. Paul. JD is a great young man who came over on a mission trip last year with the WTAMU BSM and fell in love with Taiwan. He has a heart for missions and has jumped right in. And it doesn't hurt that his uncle is none other an "Lost in Lukang" Jay Hufstedler - one of our greatest supporters and friends who has been to Taiwan many times. Please pray for JD as he begins his work teaching and also helping me reach some of the students at the National Taichung University of Education.

In my last e-mail I mentioned several names that I'll be following up with now that we are back in Taiwan, please continue to pray for them specifically. I'll be seeing many of them shortly, including meeting with Eragon this Saturday afternoon. Please pray specifically for this time, it may be the only time I get to spend with him for the next few months as he prepares to go abroad.

Friday, August 14 is the beginning of Ghost Month here in Taiwan and across Asia. It is one of the longest and most feared events of the year. We'll have lots of opportunities for the next month to talk about spiritual things. Please pray for God to give us many opportunities to bring peace and hope at a very dark time. Finally, please continue to pray for Dr. Paul Lai. Our friendship continues to grow deeper and the opportunity to share our faith and the reason behind our good works happens all the time. However, it will take the Holy Spirit opening his heart for him to understand. Dr. Paul is a devout Buddhist. But we all know, nothing is too hard for God. That is his picture above with Crista and I.
