Gang! It's been a while. I've been out here in Strangeville ducking a weaving all the crazy punches life is always throwing my way, getting hit with a few along the way, but you know me, I don't let that shit keep me down for long. I'm a survivor and I've got great news this month!

My brand new novel, TEXAS CHAINSAW MANTIS is finished! I debuted the amazing Jim Agpalza drawn cover art last week, and this week I'm premiering the first chapter of the novel right here on the Strange Sayings Newsletter!

But that's not the only thing going on here in the Land of the Strange this month. Not hardly! The Bizarro Writer Association Midwest put on another one of their quarterly Bizarro Hour reading events that I was lucky enough to attend. As per usual, we recorded the whole shenanigans. I do a reading of my flash fiction piece BUTT SLUGS, originally published on BizarroCentral.com, AND I got to participate in Danger Slater's reading to close out the show!

 I don't know why you guys did it, but you made me the first (I think) double nominee in a single category in a single year for the Wonderland Book Award. So, thanks and stuff! It really means a lot to me. I'm only good at one thing in life and it feels great to be recognized for it. The winner will be decided at an award ceremony at Bizarro Con in November so this is kind of a really big deal for those of us who write the weird shit. I promise to wear a tie and be professional. ;)
