Where Has Joel Been?
Hello. As long as you have been following me you know that I have not really worked any conventions since Awesome Con D.C. at the end of May. That means that I have been hard at work on other things! I know...it is exciting. I have numerous new pieces coming out as well as the short comic that I wrote for part of an anthology here in Chicago has been drawn and is moving along nicely. I will keep you posted on when it is finished but the artist for my segment has done an amazing job so be excited. I am still waiting to find out if I will be an artist at a few upcoming conventions including New York Comic Con. Besides that expect the update to my website to finally happen between Fall-Winter. I will be incorporating my own ecommerce and also some serious fun galleries of my artwork and graphic work. I look forward to sharing that will all of you! Besides all of that read on...

Cops and Donuts
My mini-comic of Cops and Donuts has been gaining momentum in the local scene. I have been selling it at some local comic shops and I submitted it to Comixology. Along with that I did submit it to SPX (Small Press Expo) for any of the Ignatz awards. We shall just wait and see. If you have not gotten a chance to check my comic out please see my Etsy shop or contact me and I will get you a copy. Thank you loyal fans and friends for helping C&D become a reality.

Aw Yeah Comics Comic Fest!
I have been fortunate enough to have such great comic shop friends as the people of Aw Yeah Comics and they are having their first ever comic fest this Saturday!!
I will be there along with a host of other amazing creators and artists selling our comics to friends and families and especially young and new readers!
Come on out and have some fun in Skokie, see a great comic shop, and enjoy some comic chatter with us.

Super cool comic shops
AYCs are a couple of comic shops and one game shop as well. Their locations are in Skokie, IL, Muncie, IN, and also Harrison, NY. They are also the publishers of Aw Yeah Comics which include titles as Itty Bitty Hellboy and Itty Bitty Mask. Check them out. I promise you won't regret it.

Busy Beaver Buttons
Cool Chicago based button making company
Busy Beaver Buttons makes buttons and magnets and such. They made my glow-in-the-dark Slimer button. If you have not seen it yet then you are missing out. Nonetheless they are great and a joy to work with. If you are local you have been in contact with one of their buttons or button dispensers and never even knew it. That is how good they are!
