Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina!

God continues to touch people's lives in Buenos Aires as well as in Bolivia!

Check out this newsletter to learn more about where and how "God is on the move".

Summer Mission Trip in January Each year, we take a group of local Christians from Argentina on a mission trip to another country. We want missions to be in our church's DNA. We also want our church to know that missionaries are not only people who come to help us, but we too are called to be missionaries. This January, we spent two weeks with the church in Cochabamba, Bolivia working with Fernando (Butch) and Patricia Sandoval. In April of this year I returned to teach a Leadership Training Seminar for church leaders from all over Bolivia. It was great to share with them over four days about the Life and Work of Jesus
Bolivia holds a special place in my heart. I first visited Bolivia in 2007. Since then, I have returned on three occasions to work with the church there. Most recently in July, I taught once more about the Life and Work of Jesus in the capital city of Sucre. We had 80-90 people each night of the conference which took place in a hotel off the main square. I have learned a great deal through my interaction with the Bolivian church and I hope we can continue to serve together throughout the years to come. You can download my presentations on our church's website
Argentine Bible Institute This has been a great year for the Bible Institute. This is a picture of two of my students explaining the relation between theology and philosophy. At the beginning of this year I taught Introduction to Philosophy and Introduction to Theology. This second semester I will be co-teaching Church & Mission with Jairo Díaz (fellow church planter) as well as Christian Spirituality. It was so exciting to hear my students' final presentations and hear how they had processed the course material and applied it to their lives. Please pray for this current semester that the students might be formed into the image of Jesus while we study, reflect and grow together.
Mission Team God has been so good to me, always providing me with a good team with whom I can serve and grow. Jairo and Johanna Díaz continue to be a source of constant strength and encouragement. In addition to working together as church planters, we also travelled together to Bolivia in January and now, Jairo and I will be teaching Church & Mission together.

I ask that you keep Jairo and Johanna in your prayers as they continue their studies at university (Jairo studies education and Johanna studies bio-technology) and their work with the Lord's church.

I am in constant communication with other people who are thinking about the possibility of joining our mission team in the near future. Please pray for these people as well.
Oklahoma Christian Interns We had the blessing to host three missionary interns from Oklahoma Christian University for seven and ten weeks! These three young people who study liberal arts, math and engineering made big contributions to the work here in Buenos Aires while they studied Spanish and Argentine culture. I pray that their time here in Buenos Aires has helped them get a better idea of what foreign mission work is all about. We are already working on plans for next year so please keep this program in your prayers.
Annual Church Retreat We had another great retreat this year in the province of Buenos Aires. Fernando and Patricia Sandoval came from Bolivia to speak about the Sermon on the Mount. We had special guests not only from Bolivia but also Peru and Romania! It was a great weekend together for rest, prayer, Bible study and lots and lots of food and fun.

Redeemer Church of Christ Our church continues to grow in number and spiritually speaking as well. We are doing our best to reach out to non-Christians. In doing so, we are meeting and interacting with people who know very little about Jesus and the Bible. Please pray for our ongoing interaction that it might bear fruit in due time.
My Blog in Spanish: Teología y Filosofía
I want to thank all those that pray for me and for the work here in Argentina. God is doing great things and while many of those things cannot be shared in an email report, please know that God is definitely "on the move".

Just recently on Sunday mornings we have been studying the Gospel as preached by Jesus Himself. The Good News consists in the fact that God is becoming the King of the world through Jesus. We are to change our ways and join God in His Kingdom project. We are to make God's Kingdom a reality on earth as it is in heaven. We are to do God's will, showing Him our allegiance.

It is truly a privilege to be a part of God's people and take part in the healing of His good and beautiful creation. Please continue to pray for His church in Buenos Aires, in Argentina and throughout Latin America as we strive to understand His mission and take part in what He is doing all around us!
