Doerr Receives SBDC State Star Award
Teran is a champion for small business in Bowman County and is integral in the partnership that exists between the Bowman County Development Corporation and Small Business Development Center’s regional office out of the Strom Center of Dickinson.  Teran is being recognized for her efforts by receiving the 2015 SBDC State Star Award. 
LinkND Identifies Bowman for Pilot Program: Community Impressions
A first impression of an experience, place, or person, is a key element in forming a lasting memory.  Location, services available, demeanor of those encountered and much more contribute to your first and often lasting impression.   Bowman grabbed the opportunity to be a part of the pilot program created by LinkND, to learn more about what a visitor experiences when they come to Bowman. 

Bowman Hosted the North Dakota High School Rodeo Finals for 27th Time

NDHSRF's Committee is excited to report another successful event for the community, visitors, and participants.  We look forward to hosting it for the next 3 years.

The Bowman County Development Corporation strives to work towards achieving the goals laid out in our communities’ strategic plans, our mission and provide service to our county on a large scale and daily operations. Here are a few things we are focused on.

Optometrist Opening Practice in Bowman

Essential services are key to a community’s vitality.  The Bowman region experienced a void in services when the optometrist closed its doors.  The Bowman County Development Corporation was responsive to this need and made efforts to bring eye care services back to the region.  

On a trip north to visit his clinic, Lemmon Eye Care, Dr. James Trimble connected with Bowman.  
Industrial/Business Park Feasibility Study Major Focus for BCDC
The location of the past airport has many attractive attributes that opened it up to examination of a possible Business Park for Bowman County.   The land is adjacent to city limits, is in close proximity to City infrastructure, and its potential for rail access are just three of the factors that create a prime location for industry and business to flourish in Bowman County.  

Revised Liquor Ordinance Adopted by the City of Bowman

Proposed changes to the city’s liquor ordinance were analyzed and discussed over several months by a 10 person committee consisting of local, bar and restaurant owners, public staff and at large committee members.
Key Changes include:
  • Additional classifications of licenses
  • Removed the current cap on number of licenses available
  • Larger issuance fees.
