Musical Fusion With a Tech Twist

Texas Early Music Project opens its 2015-2016 Season with gusto in its techno-musical fusion, Convivencia Re-Envisioned: The Three Worlds of Renaissance Spain.

Texas Early Music Project collaborates with Dr. Roger L. Martínez-Dávila, University of Colorado-Colorado Springs scholar of inter-religious coexistence in medieval Spain and a CONEX research fellow at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, in an immersive virtual journey through the medieval Spanish city of Plasencia.

Two historically accurate 3D videos of the city highlight the musical experience to form a virtual voyage for our audiences. Glimpses of daily life and cultural interactions are lovingly presented through songs and dances performed on reproductions of historical instruments, chamber chorus, soloists, and special guests!
