Flame N King & The Bold Ones – Ho happy day / Ain't nobody Jivein' – N.Y.C.S. 10 Needs no introduction I think. Stone cold 70s classic dancer. I wouldn't even dream of selling this if I didn't have a spare. Flipside is often overlooked but it's a real gem as well. Visual grade: EX £250
Seduction and Fun City Band – Ordinary guy / Sailing – BME Records and Tapes 1182-08 Rare as hens teeth modern soul obscurity that sounds like nothing else I've ever heard before. Infectious mix of vocal harmonies and driving guitars backed with some cool drum patterns. Visual grade: EX £250
Penny North – Thought I had a good thing going / Satisfied – Luau 5590 Gritty funky edged Ohio northern dancer that's gaining demand as we speak. Visual grade: EX £125
Gayle Joya – I don't want your kind of lovin' anymore / Make me aware – Soultex 104 Rare Texas sister funk 45 that builds up very nicely. Visual grade: EX £125
Admiral Ice – My Carolina girl / Beach bum – Admiral Ice Top drawer mid-tempo modern soul that's hard to track down nowadays, especially in this condition. Visual grade: M- £120
Dynamic Walter B – Before I fall in love / A man's way of life – New Breed Records 7047 Gritty Louisiana deep funk with a lesser known deep soul flip. Visual grade: VG+ £100
Top Shelf – Doggone baby I love you / You're hurting me – Spectrum 124 Highly recommended crossover in-demander. It's been over a decade since I last found a copy of this so I'm glad to be able to offer you a clean one. Visual grade: M- £100
Frankie Seay – Baby please / All I want is loving you – Tropical 112 High energy R&B edged northern stormer from Miami. Excellent copy with a cool label design. Visual grade: EX £100
The Kickin Mustangs – Kickin / Take a miracle – Plato 80286 Raw funk stormer with a quality sweet soul ballad on the flip. Essential stuff! Visual grade: EX £80
Willie Mason with The Fredie Martin Revue – I loved you once / Go on back – Rujac 32272 Storming northern dancer on the collectable Baltimore label. Visual grade: Strong VG £80
Charlotte Stokes – Is this the price I have to pay / same – T.I.P. 100 Beautiful haunting northern dancer that was never officially released and is only available on this very limited 70s press. Visual grade: VG+ £75
Derek Martin – Daddy rollin' stone / Don't put me down like this – Crackerjack 4013 Classic R&B stuff. For some reason almost all the copies I find are trashed, in fact this is the cleanest one I've ever come across. Visual grade: EX £75
Old (M) Pressions – Right on / Let me know – Brooks Brothers 9270 Mid-tempo modern soul winner that's filling dancefloors all over Europe atm. Turns out I had a spare copy so here it goes. Visual grade: M- £60
Richard Marks – Funky four corners (vocal / instrumental) – Tuska 101 Clean original first label issue of this Atlanta funk classic Visual grade: VG+ to EX £60
Sam Baker – You'd better chek what you got / Storming and raining – U.S.A. 113 Sought after deep soul 45. This has been booted and the boot has been sold as an original but this one's an OG. Visual grade: VG+ £60
Joe Williams and The Staccatos – The mother hubbard / No harm done – Carrie 6753 Nice clean copy of this crude Detroit R&B obscurity. Visual grade: EX £55
Garry Moore & New Joy – Until the end / More like you – HSE 499 Nashville modern gospel dancer that's one of the most exciting new discoveries of the scene. Pick up your copy now before cause they're drying up quick. Visual grade: EX £55
Charles Herndon – Gonna change my town / Can't get you off my mind – Soul 05 Super obscure R&B with Lorenzo Holden's band as backup. Never seen this one before. Visual grade: VG £50
Ricky Rezell – What you bet / Little Willie Joe – Poncello 716 Swingin' R&B rarity that gets the hips movin'. A bit scuffy but plays excellent. Visual grade: VG £50
Carl Carlton – I can feel it / You've got so much – Back Beat 617 DJ Copy Visually not the cleanest copy but plays amazingly well. Definitely dancefloor proof. Visual grade: VG- £50
Nita Hill – Standing in the shadows / Go on and cry – Circle 954 DJ Copy Lesser known female version of this Belgian Popcorn standard. Visual grade: VG+ £45
J.C. Davis – Coconut brown / Buttered popcorn – New Day 1341 Raw but uplifitng Ohio funk double sider. Loud pressing so plays very well. Visual grade: VG £45
Nate Williams – You're doing wrong / She's a woman – Honey B 1001 Rare first label issue of this funk dancer, backed with a recommended deep soul ballad Visual grade: VG+ £45
C.L. Blast – What can I do / I'm in a daze – United 224 Wardell Quezergue arrangement paired with C.L.'s trademark powerhouse vocals produce a 45 that still sounds fresh to this day. Very clean copy. Visual grade: M- £40
Early Editions – What is wrong with grovin' / People try – Aries Late 60s obscure and unique sounding 45. A mix of funky soul spiced with a healthy dose of big band jazz. Gets better with every spin. Visual grade: EX £40
Bobby & The Heavyweights – Soul train / Baby I love you – Mor-Soul 003 Trademark Nola funk 45 with a crude driving beat. Rare first label before Atlantic. Visual grade: Strong VG £35
