Glutathione - the master anti-oxidant
Modern life surrounds us with chemicals such as pesticides in our fruit and vegetables, heavy metals in the fish we consume, synthetic hormones and antibiotics in the meat we eat, toxins and heavy metals in the water we drink    and pollution in the air we breathe. Even our furniture is full of flame retardants chemicals. Add to this microwave radiation emitted from modern gadgets such as WiFi, mobile phones, iPads, and cordless phones that damage the delicate structure of the DNA within our cells.

Glutathione our “master” antioxidant is able to detoxify our cells from these chemicals, chelate and remove heavy metals and even protect our DNA from damaging radiation. However our Glutathione levels quickly become depleted detoxifying our bodies particularly when we add some of the following:- drink alcohol, smoke, don’t get quality sleep, stress, poor diet, poor digestion, no exercise, pharmaceutical medication, get older etc. When our Glutathione levels become low we become tired, prone to illness and inflammation and generally feel “run down”.

The role of glutathione in our bodies includes:-
  • Protection from oxidative stress
  • Detoxification of chemicals and heavy metals
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Promotes cardio vascular health
  • Promotes lung health
  • Improves brain health
  • Improves immune function
  • Cancer prevention
  • Improves digestive health
  • Eye health
  • Skin health
  • Energy production
  • Fertility
  • Athletic performance
Diseases linked with decreased Glutathione levels:-
