HPC Services Back at Willowbrook Elementary!

High Pointe Church is returning to Willowbrook Elementary (300 17th Ave SW, Altoona, IA 50009) this Sunday, August 30th! Join us at 10 a.m. for our worship service.

Mens Prayer Meetings

Men, for those of you who are unable to attend on Saturday mornings at 8 a.m. for the men's prayer meeting, you now have another opportunity to meet with the men at High Pointe to pray together on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. at the Resource Center (new corner office).

Ladies Prayer Meetings

Ladies, for those of you who are unable to attend on Tuesday mornings at 6 a.m. for the ladies prayer meeting, you now have another opportunity to meet with the ladies at High Pointe to pray together on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. at the Counseling Office.

LIFT Kick Off Event

Ladies, join us for the LIFT kick off event this Sunday, August 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Catherine Ewing's house. We will have food, music, and a testimony from Donna Budd. Sign up at church if you'd like to bring soup, sides, or desserts. Please bring your own lawn chair. We can't wait to get together for a time of fellowship and encouragement after a busy summer! 

Outfitters

Outfitters is our high school ministry which includes teens ages 14-18 years old. Tim and Jonna O'Tool lead this ministry. They meet every Wednesday at HPC's Resource Center for fellowship and a Bible lesson. There is a sign up at church for teens who plan to attend.

Kick Off Event: Outfitters will be meeting at HPC's Resource Center on September 2nd, 6:30 p.m. All high school students and parents are invited for pizza, games, and music. More information will be given at this time regarding Outfitters' schedule for the upcoming year.

HPC Discipleship Program

Trinitarianism: Who is God? Better yet, what is God? Can we know for certain that He exists? If so, how? How can God be one yet three? How can Christ be both God and man? Why didn't Christ know the time of His coming? We will be covering all this and more including how this relates to us in day to day life. 

This 10 week class on Trinitarianism will be starting Sunday, September 13th, 8 a.m. at the Counseling Office. The cost is $25 for the workbook. Sign up at church if you would like to take this class. Contact Chris Lenoir with any questions: chris@highpointealtoona.com.

Trailblazers

Trailblazers is our junior high ministry which includes children ages 10-13 years old. Joe and Liz Gambrel will be leading this ministry. They meet every other Wednesday at HPC's Counseling Office for fellowship and a Bible lesson. Parents, please sign your child up at church if they will be attending.

Kick Off Event: Trailblazers will be meeting at Village Park in Altoona on September 16, 6:30 p.m. There will be volleyball, bags, and washers to play. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. Parents, if you'd like to bring a side to share please contact Joe and Liz. Parents are welcome to stay and hang out with their child!

HPC Fall Fest

Join us for HPC Fall Fest at Village Park. This is a family friendly event which includes a chili contest, sand volleyball, giant bouncy slide, football, and more! Please bring a lawn chair. Sign up at church if you'd like to participate in the chili contest. Invite your friends!

Engage Men's Retreat

Men, mark your calendars for the Engage Men's Retreat: "The Man of God Before the Face of God" with speaker Brad Bigney. Retreat is at Hidden Acres Camp in Dayton, IA. Cost for the retreat is $55 per person. Pre-retreat golf is $35 per person. There will be a sign up available soon. Stay tuned for more details!

ACBC Counseling Conference

The Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) have selected Saylorville Church as their regional site for track one for their Counseling Seminar. The classes for this track will take place on three separate weekends (Friday evening and all day Saturday) for three consecutive months in 2016. The dates are March 11-12, April 8-9, and May 13-14. Those who sign up will receive 30 hours of training from six live speakers.
