EWB-CPC,
Come join us for this month's general chapter meeting Tuesday, August 25th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
This month we will hear from Lando Roberts, Project Manager at SoCore Energy and EWB-USA Professional Member. He is the Technical Adviser to the University of Nebraska EWB chapter and he will share his experience on a recent implementation trip they took to Madagascar.
Lando will briefly discuss the technical aspects of two solar PV rooftop sites that provide DC powered lighting and charging systems for remote schools near Kianjavato on the eastern forest of Madagascar. He will also discuss his service on the EWB-USA Energy Standing Content Committee, which serves to provide resources to EWB-USA chapters needing technical expertise and mentoring on energy related projects.
Additionally, we will review the many volunteer opportunities currently available and will have updates from all of our programs, including the Los Alas, El Salvador team who are returning from their first Assessment Trip on Sunday, August 23rd.
The meeting will be held at Duane Morris 190 S. LaSalle, 37th Floor, Chicago, IL (map).
