From rural backyards to urban front yards, local “yardeners†are growing food at home to feed their families, be more self-sufficient, use resources more mindfully and create edible landscapes as beautiful as ornamental yards.
Now five families open their gardens to you!
Sunday, August 30, 10am-3pm:
Visit five gardens in southwest Berrien County Michigan
Hazelnut, fig and heirloom apple trees…..vegetables for preserving and green smoothies…..cold frames to extend the season…..flowers that protect or enhance the crops…..everything to make the most of their resources. All this and much more can be found among the diverse array of gardens in the tour.
