Dear Parents,

Congratulations to the Year 5 students for a great assembly. I was unable to be there, but the reports I have received have been amazing. Well done to all of those students who received merit awards. A wonderful achievement. These awards are listed later in the newsletter.

RE News

This week in Let’s Get Together our Year 6 leaders shared some ideas about how we can encourage others to be the best they can be and always do their best. The word says it all – enCOURAGE – we are given courage by a word or a smile that lifts us to do better. Each child completed a simple challenge and they were encouraged by their group to have a go and enjoy trying to do their best.

The children thought of things they can say to others to encourage them to have a go and be confident in their efforts. Phrases like:

  • You can do it!
  • Keep going!
  • Great job!
  • I know you can do it!
  • You are great!
  • Super effort!
  • It couldn’t be better!
  • You’re amazing!

Term 3 - Single Sheets Fundraiser
  At the end of Term 3, Mr Hill and Mr Shanahan are heading to Thailand to work in three orphanages.
The orphanages require single bed linen sheets.
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP??????   
If you are able to assist with the donation of single sheets – please bring to school by:

$2 over the counter at recess & lunch. 
Fathers Day Stall:

Children can purchase great gifts for their "special gentleman" from the stall on Wednesday, 2nd September from 9am.

 If you have any items to donate for the stall please send along to school and if you are able to help in any way please contact Fi Davis 0411127043.
Presents vary from $3 - $5 value. 
The School Clothing Pool is open each Wednesday from 2.30 - 3.30pm. 
 If you cannot make it at this time please send a note to school with the items of clothing you require.
 
SCHOOL FEES ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY. PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES.
