Our next Women in Business Workshop will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 9:00–12:00 noon in the Winkler Centennial Library.

Featured presenter will Theo Heineman from 1 Life Workplace Safety & Health. Her topic for the workshop will be “The Purpose of Life is a Life of Purpose”

In her presentation Theo will share the principles upon which she has developed and grown an innovative, rapidly growing company. Come and be inspired to build an on purpose business and the power that you harness when you do.

Do you know someone who makes our community a better place?

The Citizen of the Year Award is proudly presented by the Winkler Community Foundation. The Award recognises an individual that has made a noteworthy contribution during the current year, and/or has given an outstanding service over a number of years, to our local community over and above normal employment duties. Outstanding contribution and community service includes areas such as; education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and well being of our community. The Citizen of the Year recipient will receive $1,000 to grant to a charity of their choice further supporting community philanthropy.

Be sure to submit the 2015 Citizen of the Year nomination form to the Winkler Community Foundation on/before September 14, 2015 so they can be considered for this award! Nomination forms are available on the Winkler Community Foundation website or in the Foundation office located at City Hall.
