Individuals with auditory neuropathy/dys‐synchrony (AN/AD, ANSD) have varied auditory and other characteristics, including speech understanding and reduced temporal processing ability. These factors combine differently for each patient, resulting in variable ability to use auditory information, impact on language development and success with different management approaches. This workshop supports a multi-disciplinary approach to identifying and monitoring physiologic changes over timeClick here to learn more.

This workshop will demonstrate the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol evaluation and treatment approach in a practical manner. It will highlight elements of shaping word approximations and the use of natural phonological processes in therapy, as well as cueing and scripting systems. However, too few of these programs are efficient and accountable.
