 We are excited to introduce you to the newest addition to the Child Hope family...Jameson! We first met Jameson last fall when he began coming to our feeding program. He was four at the time, and was living with his father after his mother had abandoned him and his older sister the previous year. Last September, Jameson was hospitalized for severe malnutrition, anemia, and tuberculosis (see photos below). His tiny body was barely holding on, and Bill and Susette Manassero began to look after him; visiting him in the hospital, and making sure he got adequate medical care. When he was released from the hospital over a month later, his father could not care for him and did not want to take him back. Bill and Sue took Jameson into their own home, and nursed him back to health.
Jameson went back to school last December, and has been living in our boys’ home since the Manasseros left on sabbatical this past June. Although he is still battling some minor health issues, he is thriving! He loves riding bikes with the other boys in the home, and has stolen all of our hearts with his heart-warming smile. Please pray for Jameson as he continues to regain his health and adjusts to life at Child Hope.

Staff Updates: Welcome Joel!
 We are excited to welcome Joel Cornet to the Child Hope family as our new Children's Home Supervisor in Haiti. Joel was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, and has a long career working with different ministries in Haiti, including with another orphanage for the past three years. He has been married to his wife Yolene for 16 years, and they have three children together who are 16,14, and 11 years old. Joel is excited that God has called him to work with Child Hope and is already loving getting to know the kids. Welcome to the team Joel!

Clothing Needed!
As summer ends and the new school year is beginning, we have recognized a need for some new clothing for the children in our homes! We would love if the family of Child Hope could come alongside us to help us meet this tangible need.
Click here to download the sizes and needs for each child. We are asking for new, or VERY gently used clothing. Like most children, our kids tend be hard on their clothes, and we would love to be able to start them off this school year with some nice things that will last. Donations can be sent to our stateside offices at 1225 Coast Village Road, Suite C, Santa Barbara, CA 93108. If you order something online, you could even have it shipped directly to us!
If you prefer to donate funds instead of material items, you can do so online by specifying "Clothing Drive" in the Special Instructions box, or by mailing a check into our offices at the address listed above.
