Land Blessing
The school community celebrated and blessed the new farm in a day that was both relaxed and ceremonial. The dawn blessing drew from Maori tradition and world view, and the afternoon ceremony drew from our Anthroposophical world view. The Midnight Elves
Every year before the Spring Fair the Midnight Elves craft group go on retreat. Its a creative weekend of stitching, stuffing, knitting, cutting out, spinning, sanding, oiling and more. Its also a very sociable occasion. Read more, and see the photos at www.themidnightelves.com.

Understanding hidden trauma in childhood and how we can help build resilience and heal children was the theme of the Kolisko medical and education conference. Seven teachers, staff and health practitioners from Motueka and Nelson attended.

2015, our toughest year
2015 is proving to be an especially difficult year for school finances. We are following a plan to grow the school and become more financially secure. Our new farm-based campus is part of this plan. We are investing in staff and facilities now, but the increase in students and income is forecast for 2016. That leaves us with a cashflow problem and we are appealing to all our supporters to help us get through. Find out more here.
