Research News
NIH & NSF Animal Welfare Announcement A recently released NOT-OD-15-139discusses the shared responsibility of NSF and NIH in regards to the welfare of lab animals used as part of research projects. An MOU has been established between the two organizations to ensure that there is consistency with implementing practices related to the “appropriate care and use of all animals involved in research, research training, and biological testing activities.”
Delegates in eRA@TU For faculty members who wish to give access to their eRA@TU records to one of their staff members, postdocs or graduate students, there is a feature within the system that allows you to do so. This would give that delegate (without having the PI's Accessnet login information) the ability to view his or her eRA@TU records, make changes to an open record, pull signed contracts, etc. Anyone interested in setting up a delegate should contact Gina Barnesfor instructions and additional information.
Reminder: New Faculty Members Invited to Contact CLA Research Staff As we begin the fall semester, incoming faculty members are gearing up for their new roles in CLA. For many, this role involves conducting research. To assist with these endeavors, our office can help to obtain new grants as well as manage current grants. We encourage new faculty members who intend to submit a proposal in the near future or even in the coming year to contact Kimberly Fahey (Director of Research, CLA) or Gina Barnes (Assistant Director, Pre-award Services) to discuss Temple's policies and procedures related to proposal submission.
