GVS Town Hall Meeting

Earlier this month, GVS held its first Town Hall meeting for members and their families. The goal of the event was for our members to learn more about our program and to understand the impact we are trying to make in the community. Members participated in a survey in order to garner insight on their current feelings about GVS as it exists today. We received great feedback and now have many new member-driven ideas to take the GVS program to the next level. As we approach our one-year anniversary, we are constantly striving to make GVS as relevant, useful, and fulfilling as possible for the women we serve.

Behind the Scenes at GVS

The cameras were recently rolling at GVS as we work to create some much needed video resources about GPC and the GVS program. In the coming weeks we will upload these videos to our various social media outlets once they are completed.

Welcome GVS Ambassadors

In July we launched our new GVS Ambassador program. These members come from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our Ambassadors contribute to the ever-evolving design of our program and volunteer their time to assist us with recruitment, marketing, and general member feedback.

Conversations Through Film

GVS recently hosted its first “conversation through film” with the screening of Te Doy Mis Ojos (Take My Eyes). We were able to use this as an educational opportunity to engage our members in a discussion about domestic violence and healthy relationships.

New Faces of GVS!

We have added a few new faces to our team over the summer! Mariana de Santibanes has joined GPC as our Evaluation and Impact Manager, and Mercy Martinez and Maria Arnaud are our newest Recruitment Specialists. Emily Rindler is also bringing her expertise as a Nurse Practitioner to the GVS medical care team. Full bios of entire team can be found on our GPC website.
