David is a seventh generation photographer, with an eye for the abstract. David's images are conceptual, experimental, improvisational, impressionistic.
Fundamental graphics, colours, patterns, textures, shapes, reflections without contextual expectations. Visual interpretations, lacking imposed reference points, allow viewers to engage their own imaginations.
Cameras simply record light, images, evidence: point and shoot. Exposure breaths life, energy, vividness, saturation. What is that? Which way is up? Where is the horizon? Is that blue real? That red? Which planet is that from?
I make no pretense about reproducing reality, but instead focus on discovering colourful beauty hidden in the material beast.
