Hey you. Are you a woman interested in using the last few month of the year to increase your gumption?

(Sorry, dudes, this invite is for the ladies. Feel free to stop reading!)

If you're on this list, you probably know my poem "When I Have Gumption" - which basically describes the woman I am when I stick to my values, am brave, share my voice, my story and uplift others. I love doing my own creative work, but I love teaching and facilitating others in their creative work just as much. So....

I'm doing a little experiment and creating a Girls with Gumption Fall 2015 group. This is going to be a mixed online and in-person (in-person if you're in NYC, online if elsewhere) group of ladies who are interested in...

• Devising creative personal projects that stretch you to become the next best version of yourself. The self that is a little bit braver, a little bit bolder, a little bit more...real. Honest. Vulnerable.
• Turning painful, traumatic events into something useful and beautiful through re-framing your story and finding a proactive way to move from victim to conquerer/truth-teller and the person you want to be.
• Developing routines of self-care that allow you to thrive and share your voice, even if you're a hyper-sensitive or introverted person.

If this sounds interesting to you, reply to this email with a little bit about yourself, what attracts you to the idea of a group like this, and how you would like to increase your gumption this fall. (If you have a specific creative project in mind that you've been thinking about that scares you, that's perfect!)

This whole thing is an experiment and I have some ideas for content, but I really want to meet with you individually and see what you need and what I can offer or what resources I can point you to. If you're part of this group, you'll have to go with the flow a little bit and be willing to contribute your ideas and voice!
