The APLU annual conference is November 15 - 17, 2015  in Indianapolis, IN and USU has a dynamic agenda filled with rich opportunities. We will be holding a $165,000 pitch session in partnership with APLU, there will be two training workshops (at no additional fee ), our annual membership luncheon on Sunday, and IUPUI is also organizing a tour of its engagement activities among other events. More information will be coming on this soon.

The first workshop will be on Saturday, November 14th from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on faculty cluster hiring for diversity and institutional climate. Space is limited so we are offering this opportunity to our USU members first before we extend it to the broader APLU community. If you are interested in sending a team from your institution, please reply to jmichaels@aplu.org. For more information click here

The second workshop, supported by Lumina Foundation and Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation, will be held Monday, November 16th from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. It will explore completion grants and other tools to enhance student success. At the end of the workshop, there will be information on how to apply for seed funds to launch completion grants at your institution.  Please reply to sgarmise@aplu.org if your institution will be participating in this workshop.

Finally, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), has invited all USU members to attend the installation ceremony of IUPUI’s new chancellor , Dr. Nasser Paydar, on Tuesday, November 17th on the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Boulevard, Indianapolis, IN.
