MiKiDo Future Champions Summer Program and MiKiDo Arlington Public Schools Literacy Program

This summer was action-packed for the MiKiDo Summer Programs, hosting several summer camps at our training facilities as well as with Arlington County Public Schools.  All of the kids had a blast learning and developing throughout camp. They participated in different styles of martial arts, crafts, learning how to mediate bullying situations, and workouts of the day that they were accountable for each week! It was great to visibly see the development of all of the MiKiDo future champions, and for them to take part in our self-improvement activities all summer. We are already planning for next summer!

MiKiDo Belt Graduation

When: Saturday, September 26th, 11am-1pm

We will be having our next belt test on the 26th of September, be sure to make it into classes so you can learn your material and earn your next MiKiDo rank! There are students whom have been working diligently throughout the summer, as well as those that are just coming back from summer break. Whatever category you fit into, don't lose time, and get into MiKiDo to start improving yourself. If you do not plan on testing you are still more than welcome to come out to the upcoming belt test as our MiKiDo students will be putting on an excellent display of skill showcasing their material and hard work they have put into earning it!

Flawless Victories!

The MiKiDo Amateur Competition Team has also been busy this summer, collecting trophies and title belts in impressive fashion!

MiKiDo Instructor Mr. Joe Matik won in his amateur MMA debut at Cagezilla 3 in a back-and-forth war that had the entire crowd jumping out of their seats!

In the same event, undefeated MiKiDo CHAMPION George Billy successfully defended his Cagezilla title belt against another undefeated 125lbs fighter from Tampa, FL. It was a great battle that ended in a "fight of the night" performance and George is STILL the Flyweight 125lbs. Champion!

MiKiDo Black Belt Instructor Jonathan Schweinefuss finished off the summer with a dominating kickboxing fight easily dismantling his opponent over 3 rounds right before he heads off for his Freshman year of college at James Madison University!

Upcoming Competition

While the Summer is coming to an end the MiKiDo Team continues to bring the heat!  We have some exciting upcoming events to keep the momentum going at full speed so be sure to come out and support our athletes as they put on some spectacular performances!

September 19th George Billy and Bidhan Thakur will be competing at Cagezilla 4! George will be competing in his LAST amateur bout defending his 125lbs title belt once again. Bidhan Thakur has worked his way up the ranks and will be fighting for the 135lbs title belt. Tickets are available at MiKiDo for this event in Ashburn, VA!

October 3rd Brandon Murchison will be making his professional MMA debut at the Eagle Bank Arena (formerly the Patriot Center) on George Mason University campus!

October 24th Alvin Mercer, undefeated in the Shogun arena, will be returning to Baltimore for Shogun Fights continuing to make his statement in the cage! This event will take place at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, MD.

Tickets for all of these events are available at MiKiDo facilities so be sure to pick them up before they run out! Our professional competitors MUST SELL tickets as part of their contract, so it helps them tremendously if you buy from them! Please support these young athletes if you want to attend any/all of these events, and come purchase their tickets at MiKiDo Center (3443 Carlin Springs Rd. Baileys Crossroads, VA 22041).
