NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH
A library card is the coolest card – September is Library Card Sign-up Month.

Get your library card or update your current information and be registered for prizes!

Studies show that children who are read to in the home and who use the library perform better in school. September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Stevens County Library joins with the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to make sure that everyone has a free library card.  For more information on how to sign up for a library card, visit the Stevens County Library in person, visit the library online at www.stevenscountylibrary.com or check out our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/StevensCountyLibrary.
CIRCLE TIME
Circle time will begin the fall schedule on Wednesday, September 9 at 10:30 a.m.  Registration is online or paper forms can be found at the library.
TEXTILE EXHIBIT
October is the month to show off your talent with textiles.  Whether you work in fabric, yarn, leather, paper, or anything else that could remotely be considered a textile, we would love to show it off at our annual exhibit.  Contact Eunice or Stacey for details.
UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN
If you have been in the library after school, you have probably heard library staff tell some of our unaccompanied patrons “In or out.”  In an effort to limit the congestion at the front entry, and to reduce the in-and-out activity at the front doors, the library staff will write the date on the hand of every unaccompanied child as they leave the building.  Once they leave, they will not be permitted to reenter the library that day.  We hope that we can encourage or after-school patrons to do their homework, utilize library materials, computers and WIFI, or participate in library activities while they are waiting for parents.
