ISC Awards Program

Two awards will be given to the most outstanding ISC research papers. The first is the Hans Meuer Award, which will be awarded to a paper deemed deserving by the Research Papers Committee. The Hans Meuer Award has been introduced in memory of the late Dr. Hans Meuer, general chair of the ISC conference from 1986 through 2014, and co-founder of the TOP500 project.
The winner will be announced during the opening session, and will be given the opportunity to deliver a keynote in a paper session. The winner will receive a cash prize of 3,000 Euro, an award certificate as well as free conference participation for 2017.

The second is the Gauss Award, which will be given to the most outstanding paper in the field of scalable supercomputing. It is sponsored by the German Gauss Center for Supercomputing, which is the collaboration between the German national supercomputing centers at Garching, Juelich and Stuttgart. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of 3,000 Euros and given the opportunity to deliver a keynote about the winning paper during one of the research sessions.
ISC 2016 Student Cluster Competition is Now Accepting Applications

The HPC Advisory Council (HPCAC), and ISC High Performance, call on undergraduate students from around the world to submit their application for participating in the ISC High Performance 2016 Student Cluster Competition.

Applications should be submitted no later than November 13. The announcement of the accepted 11 teams will be made at SC15 in Austion on November 18.

The student teams will be competing and demonstrating the incredible capabilities of state-of-the-art high-performance cluster hardware and software during the 2016 conference.

If your organization is interested in sponsoring this competition, we would also like to hear from you. All sponsorship funds will flow directly into the competition, enabling the students to travel to Frankfurt and participate in the competition for four days in a comfortable environment.
