Introduction to REDCap™ Training, October 8
Looking for a way to manage your data? REDCap™ (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure, web-based application designed to support data capture for research studies. If you are a new user or you're interested in recent improvements to REDCap, please join us for an Introduction to REDCap workshop on Thursday, October 8 from noon - 1:00PM in Sackler 514 (Computer Lab).
Learn how to login, create a simple survey and database, and navigate the user access dashboard. Space is limited. Reserve your seat today.
Hone Your Mentoring Skills, October 13
Want to build stronger relationships with your mentees? New and seasoned mentors are encouraged to attend Mentor Training on Tuesday, October 13, 2:00-4:00PM at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine's Alumni Lounge (1 Kneeland Street, 15th Floor).
This interactive session will focus on maintaining effective communication, defining and implementing mentees' goals and timelines, aligning expectations, understanding cultural differences, and fostering independence. Admission to Mentor Training is by online application only. Applications are due by Wednesday, September 30.
Writing Workshop for Researchers Starts October 21
Working on a grant proposal, or planning to submit an application for funding? Researchers of all specialties are invited to Developing Your Specific Aims: A Writing Workshop for Researchers. In five 90-minute sessions, you will learn how to improve the significance, approach, and innovation of your study, right from the first page.
The workshop takes place October 21, 28 and November 4, 10, and 18 from 9:30-11:00AM on the Tufts Health Sciences Campus in Boston (location to be announced). Participants must attend all five sessions. Sign up now!
Reminder: Pilot Studies Letters of Intent Due September 25
Looking for funding for an innovative, interdisciplinary translational research project? Apply for the Tufts CTSI Pilot Studies Program. Grants of up to $60,000 will be awarded to scientists and scholars affiliated with our partner organizations.
Review the Request for Applications and submit your online Letter of Intent by 5:00PM on Friday, September 25.
