New Courses for Fall!
'Bridge/Recap': We are offering a brand-new class intended to bridge our students from the beginner to intermediate-level courses. Get an in-depth review of our beginner series (I A, I B, II A & II B) in a new context and format, using a relevant, fun TV mini-series (!) which will 'bridge' you to and prepare you for our intermediate-level courses, which use full-length films. Advanced Spanish - This new course will provide you with the opportunity to learn in-depth about central themes in Latin American culture using FLC's exciting methodology. After this course you will be able to converse and sustain an argument about complex subjects in Spanish. Some of the themes include 'The Role of Indigenous People in Latin American Identity,' 'Nationalism and Regional Integration,' 'Art and the Interpretation of Reality' and 'Religious Syncretism.' To complement your Saturday 'cafe' experience, intermediate & advanced French & Spanish students will have the opportunity this fall to delve into a classic world-renowned novel and modern short stories!
