September 2015 Buffalo Bayou Currents

Join us on October 3 for Buffalo Bayou Park's Grand Opening!

For Buffalo Bayou Park's Grand Opening on Saturday, October 3, we are inviting visitors to explore and enjoy interesting sites within the 160-acre park that stretches from Shepherd Drive to Sabine Street.

In Green Tree Nature Area, located just south of Memorial Drive at Waugh Drive, we're working with US Fish and Wildlife Service, Friends of Brazoria Wildlife Refuges, Midcoast, and Earthquest to bring the WILD to Buffalo Bayou with birds of prey shows, reptile and butterfly encounters, self-guided nature walks, and seed-ball making! This habitat restoration area will surely delight any nature-lover!
Stay tuned for more partner highlights! Click here for a schedule of activities.

We would like to hear from you, so let us know you're coming on Facebook!

Volunteer at the Grand Opening!

We are also looking for general volunteers to help at our grand opening. There are a variety of shift times and duties available. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate. Sign up to volunteer!

If you have a group interested in volunteering at the grand opening or want to help with the evening procession, please contact Crystal Ortiz at cortiz@buffalobayou.org. Thanks!
