City of Sydney
We continue to receive registrations for our virtual energy assessments program with the City of Sydney. In the past couple of weeks we conducted customer site visits with 11 different apartment buildings. If you missed it, City of Sydney recently announced a $400m energy efficiency masterplan.
Strata Manager Channel
Wattblock has now entered an agreement with a Strata Management company to provide a co-branded paid subscription based service to their apartment buildings. This service is similar to the free energy report service with the addition of tariff optimisation enhancements. Like the free service, these reports are lead generation for energy efficiency upgrade work.
Team Expansion
Wattblock welcomes two full time Business Development resources who have now joined the team, Scott Witheridge and Peter Langley. Peter will be based in our new National Innovation Center office at ATP in Sydney. Scott will be based in Brisbane and utilising Rivercity Labs office space available through Telstra's muru-D network. We ran a three day training course with the team all together in Sydney last week.
During the week we interviewed another 5 interns from UNSW engineering faculty with interests in solar PV, batteries, and energy efficiency. Meanwhile Branden, Kevin, and Nicolas have settled in and they are enjoying getting involved with the City of Sydney project and coming trade show events.
Travel Plans
Coming trade shows are getting closer. One of our Korean speaking interns, Kevin will be flying up for the Global Start-up conference in Seoul. Translations, pitch decks, and banner graphics are all sorted.
Reach out if you want to catch up with us while we're in town!
