Church Board Update
The board met on Tuesday, August 18th. Here are three brief updates following our meeting:
Simon’s Valley School
We are so grateful for God’s provision of a temporary home for Skyview. We have been granted access to Simon’s Valley school on Sundays for the upcoming school year. At present we have been granted access to one classroom for which we are grateful and thank you for your prayers as we negotiated for classroom space for our children. We will utilize this one classroom as well as the open space on the stage to host our children’s ministry. Please pray for our children and for the Children’s Ministry team as they prepare for a new season of ministry in this unique space. Pray also for our Worship and Sunday Service teams as they also make plans for this space. Please note that, at present, Pastor Stuart’s office remains located at Rocky Mountain College.
Sale of Land
The Property Committee continues to provide excellent leadership as we await feedback from the City regarding our Development Permit application (DP). Most recently, the Property Committee, in partnership with the Finance Committee and the board, are moving forward with the initial steps in the process of selling a portion of our land. The sale of this land has long been part of the plan to provide some of the funding necessary for the construction of our building. Please pray with us for insight and wisdom for the Property Committee and all included parties.
Board and Ministry Leaders Retreat
Pastor Stuart and the board are looking ahead to our annual leadership retreat this October. To prepare for this retreat board members and ministry leaders are reading Mark Buchanan’s Your Church is Too Safe. Feel free to read and journey with us as we read this text. Please continue to pray for strength, protection, and wisdom for Pastor Stuart and the leadership of our church as we seek God’s guidance and will for His church.
Respectfully submitted,
Leanne Hooper
Church Board Secretary, 2015-2016

Women's Ministry
Have you ever wondered what God wanted to do with you? How does God want to use you?
If you are really serious about your relationship with God, you may wish you had someone who would encourage you and help you to grow in faith. Or maybe you would like to have an eternal impact on other people but are not sure what that should look like or how you can get started.
You know that there are people who need extra patience, encouragement, help, and maybe even gentle correction, to develop the gifts that God has given them and to grow in the confidence to use them. As women, we are getting serious about our faith. We want to learn, grow and help others to become closer to God's heart as well.
If that describes you, then may-be God is calling you to make a difference in the life of one person at a time through mentorship. Watch for your opportunity to get involved in this very important ministry over the coming months. Perhaps someone is walking a similar path to the one you are on, and would be willing to share some wisdom with you. Or maybe you have wisdom, experience, and faith that you could share with someone else.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 "For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
