Marvin W. Johnson

Marvin W. Johnson, 74, of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday August 25, 2015 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born May 18, 1941 in Greene County, Indiana the son of Ivus Cecil and Evelyn Geneva (Myers) Johnson.
Marvin was a lacquer and painter at Otis Elevator in Bloomington, he was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton, Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, Elnora Antique Tractor Association, he did a fabulous job driving the shuttle around the grounds and had a smile for everyone, and the IBEW Local union.
Surviving relatives include his wife Nancy Johnson of Bloomfield, his children, Greg (Cathi) Johnson of Ellettsville, Terry Johnson and Bryan (Jana) Johnson all of Bloomfield, his grandchildren, William Johnson, Tarah Parnell and Sophie Johnson, his great grandchildren, Graydon Parnell, Tyler Parnell, Mayson Johnson and Madilynn Johnson, his step-grandchildren, Tanner Hammock, Shayla Hammock and Tristan Roberts, two brothers, Gerald Edward Johnson, Harry Johnson and one sister Debbie Silvers.
Marvin was preceded in death by two sisters and his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor John Winders officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
The family wishes any donations be made to the American Lung Association.
