Team To Represent Singapore In 2015
Commonwealth Youth Games (Rugby 7s)

Singapore Rugby Union is pleased to announce the team to represent Team Singapore (Rugby 7s) at The Commonwealth Youth Games 2015 in Samoa.

The squad consisting of 3 officials and 12 athletes will depart Singapore for Apia, Samoa on 2nd September 2015, and returning to Singapore on 13th September 2015.

Results For Asia Rugby U20 Sevens Series 2015 (Malaysia)

U20 Men's 7s team came in Plate runners up, they did very well in the opening matches by beating Kazakhstan and UAE. However, the team lost to Chinese Taipei in the Cup Quarters and to Thailand in the Plate Final.

This is the first time Asia Rugby is running a women's tournament for U20 age group, as well as the first time Singapore is sending a U20 women's national team. It was a great experience for our girls playing against teams like Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand. Our girls came in 4th in the tournament.

Johor Rugby 7s Carnival 2015

Our U16 NRA team put up a proud display in this year's Johor Rugby 7s Carnival. They made it all the way to the Cup Final, but lost to SSTMI, Malaysia's Sports School.

Our U15 NRA team also competed in the Johor Rugby Carnival. This is the first overseas competition for most of them. They came in as Shield Runner Up after two days of tournament.

We would like to thank all supporters and parents for making the trip down to Johor for this tournament

President Mr Low Teo Ping appointed as Chef de Mission!

Congratulations to our President Mr Low Teo Ping for being appointed as the Chef de Mission to Team Singapore at the Rio Olympics Games 2016! We are honoured to have you with us at Singapore Rugby Union. Mr Low's past appointments as Chef de Mission were at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2010 Asian Games and 2007 SEA Games. Singapore Rugby Union wishes Mr Low and Team Singapore the very best at Rio Olympic Games!
