Hi Friends! I have a happy announcement (or two) to make! I've been accepted as a member of Biblegateway's Blogger Grid, complete with a site badge! I'm super excited about this because I use Biblegateway for 97.9% of my biblical research and naturally, the boost in site traffic as well as (further) credibility that I hope this will bring my blog. If you have a Bible-based blog, please feel free to check it out and apply to BG2 like I did!
The other announcement I have is mixed news. I've had my first Twitter war declared on yours truly. It's not been fun by any means (it's been going on since Sunday evening); in fact, it's been downright discouraging. I wrote a very unpopular article (no surprise there!) and some readers decided to, not comment below the piece, but to hop over to Twitter and harass me there, then hopped over to my website to do the same. But the truly beautiful thing about this is the encouragement that's come from others who've seen what's being done. Someone tagged me in a post last night and lo and behold, it was Apostle John Eckhardt sharing my little blogpost. The one I thought insignificant and wrote in a very exasperated, discouraged, yet fervent state. As of right now, that little post has had 163 likes, 35 shares, and 18 comments (17 of which were in favour of my piece). And both the "haterade" and most significantly, this one share, has immensely increased my site traffic. Generally, I average about 1,200-1,500 views per day. As of right now, it's at 5,226, I've received a noticeable boost in Facebook Page likes, and I've even gotten some books sales more than likely because of this! God is SO good!!
The naysayers are still speaking, but I'm ignoring them. I say all this to say, DON'T STOP!!! It's the article, book, project, etc. that you think won't make that many waves that generally makes all the waves! And you never ever know who's watching/reading you. You never ever know who's talking about you in a positive light. You also never ever know who's dragging your name through the dirt who will mess up and say the wrong thing to the wrong person who will be surprisingly encouraged by what you're saying/doing and possibly even come to your defense. God is SO good! Don't get weary, keep at it! Your perseverance WILL pay off!
"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Galatians 6:9)
