BAPTISM:

What a picture of new life in Christ!  We are overjoyed to share that over the last two months we have celebrated the baptism of the two current girls from Puerta de Esperanza and also the oldest two Ordoñez children.  Our kids were baptized by Seth, the pastor on our team.  And the girls were baptized in the local church, Gran Comision, where they attend and are heavily involved.  It has been a really neat experience for me to begin to really disciple all four of these new brother and sisters in Christ now that they understand real grace and forgiveness.  It allows us to talk about our life and God's love for us so freely as we fight to know more of Jesus, but understand that He is the one who changes us.  I have seen the Lord really growing each of these four and I love that He lets me watch!
Overview:
In a sweet story of redemption and second chances, Kenia and Osman moved back into PDE after a year away.  Two weeks after moving back in, she came to know the Lord!  Things have been busy as both girls are in school right now, Claudia studying beauty and going to seventh grade and Kenia studying sewing and fourth grade.  Our house moms are incredible and have been leading the girls so well these past few months.  I have been in and out a lot as I am on the search for NEW GIRLS to move into PDE!  We have a few in the works and I hope that our next newsletter will report a full house :)  Just today I met with a 13 year old who is pregnant and we are waiting on paperwork for an 18 year old who had twins, but lost one of them at birth.  Both are really without family for various reasons and really need the opportunity!  I hope we will be able to have them, but if not them, whoever the Lord brings us.  These few months we have celebrated birthdays, first days of school, there have been disagreements and forgiveness, and there has been a lot of laughter and joy!
New friends:
I don't know what else to call them but new friends of PDE.  I spent a lot of time in July and August with a few girls from a neighboring community.  I really thought that they would be the two who would fill up our home, but God had other plans.  I do not for a moment however regret the time spent with them because we got to talk about Jesus and life and so many things.  I still long to have an outreach Bible study sometime in the near future with other young moms who don't necessarily live at the home.  These girls would be the first two on my list!  (One is named Marla and is pictured here with my Welsey, but has a 1 month old son herself)  I am also planning a women's health seminar with a local doctor who is amazing and sees all of our girls as well as prospectives, so they know her and I hope they will come.
A month in the states:
We had tentatively planned a 3-month trip to the states for my family as a furlough to reconnect with supporters, look for new support, and get to show my kids their American family!  However, due to denied visas for the second time, the oldest three kids will stay home with Lesther while I make a whirlwind one month trek to raise money with the twins.  Please be praying for us.  Although I will love getting to see some of you in person, it is hard for the family to be apart for so long.  That said, I will be speaking to churches and small groups in San Diego, Birmingham, South Carolina, and North Carolina.  I have some things on the calendar, but if you're in one of those areas and would like to get together, please let me know!
My trip comes at a good time.  As we know, God's timing is always perfect!  This month our account went below $2000 for the first time ever.  That means if we don't have extra money come in, we don't have enough to make it through next month.  I long for the day that we will be fully funded monthly, but right now we are $2500 short.  We also have an opportunity to send the little ones to a bilingual preschool in the neighborhood and the director is giving me a great deal, but I couldn't say yes because we don't have the money.  I told her that maybe after this month if we get enough new partners.  I also tend towards worry about moving in new girls when the money is uncertain...  I know that God is going to provide and so I try not to worry!  Please consider supporting us financially on a monthly basis if you don't already.

Partnership...
We are so thankful for your dedication and support to pray for us and give financially.  We could not do this without you.  We still need monthly supporters, if you are interested or know anyone who is, please let me know.  To give please go online to https://donations.mtw.org and give to account #92413.
