ATRN Out-of-Business After Just Over One Year
That's "America's Talk Radio Network", not to be confused with "Talk Radio Network". According to one of their affiliates, the network had the decency to call their affiliate stations prior to their ultimate demise. Of course, they only gave them a few days' notice, but some notice is better than just going dark with no explanation. I couldn't find any headlines in the industry trades about the closing - so I appear to be breaking this news. According to a
report from All Access in February of 2014, ATRN launched last year in March, which means they made it just over a year before running out of money. Their syndicated lineup appeared to include mostly weekend lifestyle shows. If you were an affiliate and are still looking for good, reliable weekend content (or weekday), please consider Free Talk Live. We've been in syndication for more than a decade, always in the same daypart. If you want reliable, we're there for you seven-nights-per-week, 7-10pm Eastern.
