Preseason Kickoff
Monmouth Men's 15s returned to the pitch on Saturday to face White Plains in a tuneup for the fall competitive season. Monmouth fought hard early with good pressure on defense to force turnovers and hard running, but were unalbe to keep White Plains off the board. Open subs gave the opportunity for many developing D2 and D3 players to face top competition and set the club up for a strong fall season.
The White Plains match was followed by the Empire GU Selects taking on the DC area Capitol Select Side. While the DC side ultimately dominated on the day, Monmouth ruggers made a big impact with a try and punishing tackles from Andrew Poulson and a long prop try from John Minenna. Other Monmouth representatives included Nick Lynch, Mario Fragale, Ryan Greenwood, Rob Benedetto, and summer 7s standout Matt Kaltenbach.
Fall Season Kicks off on Saturday, September 12th!
MRFC Open Recruiting Practices
Both Monmouth Men and Women are looking to grow their player pools and will be holding an open rugby practice and beach touch rugby to help expose new players to the club and the sport. No experience necessary and the practice will focus on fun games to help teach the basics of the sport while the Saturday session will get everyone out in the sun for some beach rugby. After practice, join the club for a beer and a bite to eat!
Current players and alumni are encouraged invite your friends and introduce them to the sport we all know and love!

2015-2016 Sponsorship Information
The 2015-2016 season of Monmouth Rugby is Here! As we kick off another season of Monmouth Rugby we are looking for sponsors to help support our Men's, Women's, HS Boys, and HS Girls playing side both on and off the field. Club dues only cover a fraction of our operating costs and we are dependent upon our fundraising efforts throughout the year, including Monmouth 7s, Monmouth Day, and the annual Raffle. Eagles v Harlequins Trip - A Few Spaces Left
On Sunday, August 30th the USA Eagles will face the Harlequins FC, one of the top English sides, at PPL park in Philadelphia in a tune up for the 2015 World Cup which kicks off in September. We have a limited number of spaces available - email Nick Lynch (lynch.nick@gmail.com) if interested.
Cost: $75
Includes, bus, ticket to the match, food and drink on the bus, tailgate, and MRFC tshirt!
Attendees should arrive at the Wilde Rover at 10:30am, bus departs at 11:00am sharp!
Social Members
The membership drive continues! There is still time to register for 2015. All non-playing club members are strongly encouraged to register as social member. Revenues from the social memberships help to keep the doors open and the lights on at our beloved Wilde Rover.
