The Networker which is published on a monthly basis will be produced on the 1st Tuesday of each month, incorporated into CN&V.

Staying Safe Driving – 2 September

Age Concern is again offering our very popular Staying Safe Driving course. This is a two hour DVD and discussion, presented by a qualified driving instructor who goes over the current road rules, and answers all those questions who've been longing to ask. Alzheimers Nelson Quiz Night – 2 September

September is Alzheimers Awareness Month and we are kicking if off with our annual Quiz Evening at The Boathouse. Summer Camp USA Information Session â€“ 7 September

Summer Camps are an American tradition where children head off to a camp each year over their summer break and have a great time taking part in activities and learning new skills. Each year, IEP sends Kiwi’s aged 18 – 30 years to the USA to work as camp counsellors. We’re holding a free information session in Nelson on Monday 07 September at 6pm at the NMIT Kowhai Lounge.

Tasman District and Nelson City Councils are running another Second Hand Sunday in both districts on Sunday 13 September,starting at 10.00am.Freely given and freely taken away, the goods could be anything from old chairs, books, clothing or left over bits and pieces from building projects. To take part, all you have to do is complete the registration form on line with the nelson.govt.nz or tasman.govt.nz website, using the search phrase 'second hand sunday'.

Treasure Trail - The Wood – 19 September

A Treasure Trail is like a garage sale, or car boot sale where neighbours work together to set up stalls in a front garden of their neighbourhood. Community Investment Grants are for social development activity and can be defined as the provision of services supporting the social well-being needs of the community. Community Investment Grants are for a maximum of $2,500. Funding must be spent by 30 June 2016.Grants open for applications on 31 August and close 23 September.
