Compass Freshman Fellowship

Freshmen interested in meeting other faith-filled freshmen and learning more about what it means to be a Catholic young adult at Notre Dame are invited to attend the Compass Freshman Fellowship informational meeting on Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. in the CoMo Lounge. If you are unable to attend the meeting and are still interested in participating, please email Mike Urbaniak.

Sacramental Preparation

If you are interested in learning more about becoming Catholic or being confirmed at Notre Dame, please join us for one of two informational sessions on Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. or Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center, Room 330. For more information, please email Brett Perkins

 

Alpha

Alpha: An Introduction to Christianity is a 7-week series that addresses the basics of Christian beliefs. The first meeting of the academic year will be held on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. in the Coleman-Morse Center, room 331. Dinner is included. Students who plan to attend the Sept. 13 session are asked to RSVP to Brett Perkins




 

Graduate First Friday Dinner

Starting this Friday, Sept. 4, on the first Friday of every month, graduate students of all faiths are invited to join their fellow students for dinner and socializing in the CoMo Lounge at 6:15 p.m. Spouses and children are also encouraged to attend. Please RSVP for the Sept. 4 dinner here

Rejoice! Mass

Rejoice! Mass, a multi-cultural Mass in the African-American tradition, is celebrated monthly throughout the academic year with the Voices of Faith Gospel Choir in the Dillon Hall Chapel. The first Mass of the academic year will be celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. Anyone is welcome to sing with the choir. Rehearsals are 30 minutes prior to Mass. 


 

Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration will begin on Monday, Sept. 7. Adoration will be held Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Notre Dame Our Mother Chapel inside the Coleman-Morse Center. Students are encouraged to pray during regular Adoration hours or volunteer to keep vigil at a particular time. Sign up for a weekly half-hour slot here

 

Liturgical Training

Training for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion will be held on Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. and Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. Training for Lectors will be held on Sept. 8 at 8:30 p.m. and Sept. 13 at 8:30 p.m. All training sessions will be held in the Basilica. Extraordinary Ministers must renew their commissions annually while Lectors only need to attend a training once. Learn more here
 

Understanding Catholicism

Understanding Catholicism I: Christianity as a Universal Church, Family of Faith and Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ will be held on Monday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. This first session in a two-part series will unpack various Christian beliefs and is open to students and scholars of all faith traditions or none at all. Please meet in front of the Basilica. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to ministry@nd.edu.
 

Keough Saturday Mass

Mass is celebrated every Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Keough Hall chapel. Keough Saturday Masses will be held on game days and during breaks.
