Electronic Puzzle Puzzles Students

The PTSA/BSF bulletin board is hosting an electronic puzzle for students to try solving. The Puzzle Board is in the main foyer across from Mrs. Porter’s desk towards the back playground. Students are encouraged to read the challenge and use the electronic CLUE to guess the solution. Solutions should be written on a slip of paper with the student’s name. This slip of paper should be placed in the Solution Envelope tacked to the Puzzle Board. Winners in round 1 will receive… well, it will be a surprise in round 1. The puzzle will change from time to time over the course of the school year.

The first puzzle is “Name the author.” The Puzzle Board invites students to guess the name of a particular famous author. The correct answer might be Laura Ingalls Wilder or Roald Dahl or someone else…but fortunately there is also a CLUE to help students narrow down the possibilities to just one. Figure out the clue and that will lead to the Author. Students may ask for help from teachers or librarians or parents or mathematicians. We hope the puzzle will be an interesting part of Spiritridge this year. Thanks to the Bellevue Schools Foundation for permission to make their bulletin board a wee bit geeky.

Sammamish-Interlake Lacrosse Club

Boys Lacrosse is back! And Fall Ball lacrosse registration is now open for the Sammamish-Interlake Lacrosse Club!

Why Play Lacrosse?
The sport of lacrosse is a team sport that is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey.  Did you know that lacrosse is one of the fastest growing team sports in the United States? Both the United States and Canada adopted the sport from the Indians in Northeastern America and it is now a Canadian national sport, not hockey as is commonly believed.

Fall Ball Details:
Fall season is pre-season for lacrosse, our games/clinics and practices are only on Sundays, 9/20/15-11/22/15.  Fall Ball is designed to introduce lacrosse through instructional skills for beginners and keep stick and game skills fresh for our returning players.  Best of all, lacrosse is fun! Serving grades 3-12 in the Bellevue School District boundaries of Sammamish and Interlake High Schools. Visit our website at silacrosse.org <http://www.silacrosse.org/> to register.
