Women for Women: September 19

It's not too late to RSVP for our annual Women for Women prayer service and fundraiser at the home of Maria Krzeski. If you've never been please let this be your first year! Prayer will be led by Rev. Anne Reed, Canon for Mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, our very own Meridith Owensby will be preaching on Resurrection, MUSE choir will be singing and we'll have a dinner catered and wine provided by Maria and her fabulous friends. Our hope for the evening is to raise funds for our associate volunteer program though there is no set cost to attend-- please donate as you're able. The program starts at 6pm.

All Saints Worship Service and Teach In

We won't be having a September monthly worship due to our Women for Women event, but we hope you'll join us for our October worship. We'll be learning about the saints that our rooms are named for, in honor of All Saints Day. Potluck supper after.

House Update

Summer's harvest is here, and we're experiencing abundance in many ways. As of Monday of this week we welcomed Anne Housholder to our live in volunteer crew (she's with Meridith at 2005 Mills). On September 1 we welcomed live in volunteer Kristi to the main house and on September 2 we welcomed a new guest and her two year old daughter. Coming next week is another new guest and her 6 week old son. We also celebrated the combined birthdays of two guests over the weekend with a back yard cook out and group trip to the downtown fireworks. We've been grateful for many new and old volunteers, lots of baby related donations, and fresh fruits and vegetables at our table each night. We're still working on that cabbage!

We currently are full. We anticipate an opening for a single woman mid October.

We are taking donations for girls and boys size 24 months and 2t, fall and winter clothes.
