Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation is proud to announce
it will be hosting a horseshoe tournament on October 24th!
This event is for those of us that just can't wait any longer for horseshoes to become an official Olympic event.
Don't worry, you don't need to be a pitchin' prodigy to play in this tournament, you just need to register here to participate.
Registration fee is $20 for an individual and entitles you to two free beers.
The Student Stewards Program is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and standards-based curriculum that uses citizen science to get kids excited about the natural world and their local parks. Parks become learning laboratories where students learn about their environment and collect real data for local and national research projects.
The students also become stewards for the parks in the Truckee Meadows!
We need your help to continue the success of this important program! If you would like to volunteer with the Student Stewards Program we would love to have you. We are looking for help with in-park learning activities.
