Fun Fest (Mark your Calendars)
September 26 – 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

It’s time for the annual picnic! Bring your tent and/or your lawn chairs and enjoy the day visiting your neighbors. Burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks will be provided.  If your house number is odd, please bring a side dish of baked beans, potato salad, chips, or casserole. Even numbered homes, please bring a dessert. Inflatables for the kids will be set up on the green space by the clubhouse, and other fun activities are being planned. Please RSVP so we can get a good estimate on the food. A Facebook event has been created so you can reply there, or email Pat at hiddenhillsinfo@gmail.com the number of attendees.

Architectural Review

The following message has appeared in numerous newsletters over the course of the last two years. And still, almost every week people have work done without submitting an application or getting ARC approval.

NOT GETTING ARC APPROVAL IS A COVENANT VIOLATION AND MAY RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE $250 ASSESSMENT…**

ANY CHANGE to the exterior of a house requires an application and approval by the ARC. This includes but is not limited to a covered porch, a screened sunroom, a new patio or deck, an outdoor fireplace, a retaining wall, new playground equipment, a new fence or a new roof. Applications can be found on our website and must receive written approval before any work is begun. These regulations are in place to ensure all additions are done within the scope of neighborhood policy and that proper drainage is addressed. If in doubt, ASK!

**Special Assessments of $250 for certain violations are provided for in the PROCEDURES FOR COVENANT VIOLATIONS, effective June 1, 2008.
When Should I Mow My Yard?

Mowing is a chore that must be done regularly during the summer growing season. Most afternoons you can stroll through the neighborhood and see several homeowners or lawn services hard at work mowing and edging. Some folks like to mow early in the morning when it’s cooler, but please be aware that some neighbors may still be asleep. An appropriate time to “start your engines” would be after 8:00 a.m. Your neighbors will thank you for it!
INVITATION TO SERVE. . .

In four short months, we’ll elect board members for 2016. If you are interested in serving your community with a fine group of your peers, tell a current board member you want to get involved. Maybe you would like to serve on a committee. Another set of hands is always appreciated. Email or call Pat at the clubhouse (769-524-7358) if you are interested. The covenants and bylaws are posted on the Hidden Hills website; there is a Q&A section that may answer questions you have about living in a neighborhood governed by a homeowners association.
