Back into the swing of things

August activities...
Well, that didn't take long! We jumped back into activities right away, with football camp. That went very well, averaging 45 kids, having a blast, and sharing the Gospel via the story of the Exodus. A special thanks to Fellowship Christian of Springfield, OH for their hard work and blessing to us. After that we were getting settled back home, into ministry, the life of the church here and getting ready for school. We are so thankful for our church. They weren't sitting around waiting for the Glessners to get back! They've started new ministries, cared for the hurting and needy, continued teaching and discipling, and managed just fine without us! Truly, we are part of a multinational team here, not a one-man-band.

Falling forward...
Fall is here (sort of) and we're looking forward to resuming activities. Football is back on us, as we practice several times a week and are reading through Mark 9-16 with the team. We had a visitor, Hannah Christensen, from The Vine Church of Kenmore, WA. Hannah's a nurse and she explored various health needs in the community, making contacts and opening doors to some possibilities for ongoing work. We're looking forward to Amanda Nole's coming next week. Amanda will be here three months learning about missions with us. We're excited and thankful for her to come! So we jump into Colossians 3:23!

Help Wanted
See the above field? That's where we play football. If you can tear your eyes away from the view (Izta!) to notice how torn up the turf is, we'd like to talk about that! Actually all we're looking for would be some advice and contacts about sports or community foundations that provide resources for neighborhood sports facilities. These fields are extensively used in this neighborhood and are showing their wear. Please let us know if you could direct us to a foundation that could help.
PRAISE
  1. Home: We're back in Puebla and so thankful to be here.
  2. Church leadership: For the health of the church and the good work of the leadership.
  3. Nurse Hannah: For Hannah's visit and the good contacts that came of it.
PRAYER
  1. Tim's Role: Pray for wisdom in evaluating Tim's role in outreach, discipleship and leadership development. He can't do it all.
  2. Fall activities: Flag football, the elementary, the high school, Bible Studies, Mixed Martial Arts, an English class, the Health Clinic, music, preaching, Bible studies, discipleships, pastoral care. We're not doing all these, but our church team is. Please pray.
  3. Amanda: Pray for her arrival and a beneficial stay, for her to learn and to impact others as well.
Thank you for your prayers!
Tim, Barbara-Lee, Drew, Gavin, Fiona
