Day of Spiritual Reflection
The changing sights and sounds of autumn provide the backdrop for this day of reflection. Friday 16 October

Stanley Spencer’s Memorial Chapel at Burghclere
A day trip to Burghclere, Hampshire to see Spencer’s extraordinary visionary murals that memorialise the lives and the dead of World War One. Friday 16 October

A Day with Julian of Norwich
An introduction to the theology and spirituality of the Mystic Julian of Norwich, perhaps England’s first female theologian. Wednesday 4 November

Theology Quest and Questions Autumn 2015 Term: From Jesus to the Gospels
The four Gospels are our main sources for the recovery of what may be known about Jesus. They are also, in their different ways, an eloquent testimony to his impact and enduring influence. As such, there is more to them than meets the eye.

2015 Niblett Memorial Lecture: Troubling Context: Christian Witness in Canada
This lecture with Richard Topping, principal of Vancouver School of Theology, explores the challenges facing Christian witness in Canada. Saturday 10 October at 5pm. Lecture is free, advance booking required.

The Gospel of Luke the Physician

Approaches to Liturgical Studies
An introduction to the sources and methods used by liturgical scholars in the evaluation of liturgical history and contemporary worship events. Monday 12 to Thursday 15 October

The Taizé Community: A Symposium at Sarum
This year marks the 75th year since the founding of the Taizé community in 1940 and the centenary anniversary of the birth of its founder, Brother Roger. This symposium is open to all and is designed as a forum for exchange, questioning and debate. Friday 30 to Saturday 31 October

Ministry & Mission Study Days

These study days offer an opportunity to sit alongside our ordination and licensed lay ministry candidates to share in their undergraduate learning. These days are ideal as a refresher, to stimulate new thinking, or to get a flavour of ordained and lay training at Sarum College.

Magna Carta Women by Tracy Satchwill
Exhibition celebrating the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta by depicting the development of the women’s rights campaign since the original document was sealed. Free and open daily from Monday 28 September to Saturday 24 October

Jessica Summers (soprano) and Jelena Makarova (piano) with a programme of British composers including Purcell and Turnage. Friday 2 October

2015 Sarum Singing Break
A musical retreat ideal for anyone who enjoys singing liturgical church music. Weekend includes rehearsals and the singing of services in the college chapel, Salisbury Cathedral and St. Martin’s Church. Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October

Salisbury Art Trail at Sarum College
An exhibition of art that speaks to the lives of women who are ordinary or famous or somewhere in between. Free and open daily from Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 October

The Making of Christian England: Then and Now?
Series of three Thursday evening lectures examining readings in Christian formation and devotion in Anglo Saxon and medieval England. Begins Thursday 8 October

Landscapes and Literature
Series of four evening lectures with John Cox and Adrian Cook exploring the links from c.1800 between aspects of English literature and landscapes. Begins Monday 2 November
