Welcome Class of 2019

The medical library staff welcome and congratulate the class of 2019. The Medical Library's website is your gateway to available online resources, journal holdings and much more. The library's newsletter and latest updates will be sent to your NYITCOM e-mail account bimonthly. We wish you a meaningful and satisfying experience at NYITCOM.

We also welcome our new faculty members and invite you to visit us in the Rockefeller Building.

This issue is an introduction to the library. For any further assistance, please don't hesitate to call the circulation desk at 686-3743 for any inquiry. Or send a message to your librarians Jeanne Strausman and Mahnaz Tehrani during the day, and Adrienne Lippmann in the evenings.

Medical Library Renovation

As you might have noticed the 1st floor of the Medical Library is closed. Soon, there would be a beautiful state of the art design to this floor. The library will remain open, and is operating under normal hours during the construction. However access to the books in print will be limited, but all other services are in effect as usual.

Please follow the signs to the temporary entrance to the library on the lower level of the Rockefeller Building during this time.

Access Ovid Journal Full-Text via Google Scholar

Users of Google Scholar will now be able to directly access their Ovid-subscribed Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journal content via Google Scholar subscriber links.

Google Scholar will actively crawl LWW journal articles via “lww.com” websites. When a user clicks on a search result, they will be directed to the article on the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journal website.

Because of our institutional subscription, in your Google Scholar search result, you will see a link like this.

[HTML] From lww.com
[PDF] From lww.com

By clicking the Google Scholar subscriber link “from lww.com” institutional users will be directed to the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journal article on the Ovid platform.
