Put People First ramps up for
City Budget Deliberations
City Council will start a deliberative budget setting process this upcoming Tuesday. We are hearing from multiple sources at City Hall that we are being heard, and now is the time that we need to ramp up our advocacy for the $6.7 million funding increase for health and human services. All One Voice members are encouraged to rally their staff, board members, and volunteers to call City Council members to express support for the funding increase. Click here to download talking points that you can use. Additionally, members are encouraged to attend a City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 8th at 9:00am (view the agenda here). While we cannot speak at the meeting, we need to have a presence to show that we are watching and listening as they make this decision.
