SB 179 would have established a 30-day residency requirement for voters in NH.
Governor Hassan vetoed SB179 after it passed the New Hampshire Legislature.
A 30 day voter residency requirement is a common sense law in 27 states.
Why not in New Hampshire? A majority of New Hampshire residents approve of this bill.

====== COMMUTER RAIL STUDY- DOES NH NEED A TRAIN? ======
Governor Hassan has signed a bill that will provide money to promote a study of commuter rail even after the public has said they do not want it and the Senate voted to leave the funds OUT of the budget.

====== OVERRIDE HB 603 to ALLOW OPT-OUT OF CC TESTS ======
On June 12th, Governor Maggie Hassan vetoed HB 603, the bill that would explicitly write parent’s rights to refuse their child’s participation in statewide assessments into New Hampshire statute.
Please, if you have not already done so, sign the petition to override HB 603 so that parents, not the government, can decide.

On Wednesday, September 16th outside between the Legislative Office Building and the State Capital from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM, NH's 2A defenders plan to gather showing support of veto override of SB 116 as legislators arrive at the building. Inside at 1:00 PM they plan to FILL both the Senate and House galleries in the Legislative building at 33 N State St, Concord, NH 03301
Let's make northern New England an undivided "Constitutional Carry Zone"!

didn't hear from for the last 4 years)
Yep you likely never heard of them before this, because they only come around when it's election time. NHTPC got an email asking for money to support the usual establishment (or in this case, an actual progressive!) candidate. From what some of our members have told us, you may get, or may already have gotten, a phone call asking you to 'join' the group for $200 in support of a set of DIFFERENT establishment candidates. Either way this is a scam. This is just another GOP group from DC using the tea party name for a fundraising ploy. They claim to support candidates who follow tea party values, but we history has shown this to be untrue. Donate money to the candidate of your choice directly if you wish. Legitimate tea parties do not ask for money for candidates, never have, and never will. Do you remember another PAC that raised $6M to support 'tea party values' and then came to NH to support anti-gun Scott Brown? These are NOT "grassroots" as claimed.
Instead, urge your friends to sign up for the NHTPC newsletter. They will get...
- info on all issues that affect NH and the bills being promoted in the statehouse
- info on all events from each liberty group, as they come up, plus others such as spontaneous rallies and demonstrations
- never any spam or advertisements
- never a request for any money
- never will promote a candidate
