2015 Auditions
We hope you have all enjoyed a lovely summer.
We are very pleased to offer auditions for places in our new Symphony Orchestra, Concert Orchestra and Wind Band. PLEASE APPLY BY MONDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2015.
Students wishing to join either the Training Band or String Orchestra can do so by tutor recommendation. Please click here for further information.
Further to your feedback, we have organised regional venues for the auditions, so hopefully you will find a convenient location, date and time below.
NB: Depending on attendance over the academic year 2014/15, an audition may not be necessary - please check information below.

Students are asked to perform a piece of their own choice and play some sight reading.
Students may audition at other times of the year by separate arrangement, if necessary, and may also be invited to attend other courses on a temporary basis.
Please check the following information - some students may not need to audition, depending on attendance over the academic year 2014/15...
Bedfordshire Youth Symphony Orchestra
(Grade 6 standard and above)
Those students who have applied to play in the current Youth Orchestra, Second Orchestra or Joint Orchestra during the last academic year are invited to join and do not need to audition.
Bedfordshire Youth Concert Orchestra
(Grade 3 – 5 standard)
Those students who applied to play in the Senior Strings during the last academic year will be invited to join and need not audition. In addition, those students who played in the second or joint orchestras during the last academic year, and who wish to gain a little more orchestral experience before joining a full symphony orchestra will be very welcome, without audition.
We are very keen to encourage brass and woodwind players of the required standard to audition.
Bedfordshire Youth Wind Band
(Grade 4+ standard)
Those students who applied to play in the Wind Band and Concert Band during the last academic year will be invited to join, and do not need to audition.
